I might upload some of the good ones to this blogger at a later date!
Lately i've been working on a story, I'll give you a few paragraphs, tell me how to improve them guys, and I will try and upload the full thing here once done! :)
“You have a choice now. You can join us, share in our gift and power, or you can die as your life is drained.”
Shock freezes me. I expected a beating at worst but to hear them speak of a gift is rather strange give the dead empty look in their all consuming eyes. Gift they say, curse it looks like.
Alex recovers first, “W-w-what gift is that?” she stammers out.
The leader, which is also the tallest, smiles a smile of evil delight. His lips draw back to reveal to long pointed teeth, razor sharp. Vampires!?! And then – chaos.
I choose her life over mine. I made that decision years ago. I love her, she must live. I decide to talk to the leader. The bravery reining over every other emotion I had. I want her to be safe. I need her safe. I will not become like them, neither will she. The thought of her dead or worse - like them gives me the adrenalin I need. I will stop the freaks from hurting her.
Suddenly the smallest one screamed – wait no– HOWLED. The bones had finally taken their shape. Giant, blood red wings, tattered and torn, aged flung out from his shuddering back. He crouched ready and awaiting his masters orders. The second ones teeth were now fully formed and deadly as ever, he stealthily lumbered to the side of the leader and also crouched. The leader smiled. And whispered;
“Here it comes” He wasn’t speaking to us, he was preparing himself. His neck snapped backwards with a terrifying crunch, broken. His lifeless body swayed a little and then collapsed to the floor blood pouring out of his mouth. I call it blood, yet it had a green tinge. It looked like venom.
Then it hit me, he was dead. I couldn’t do anything but stare, why were the others still laughing? Shouldn’t they help their leader?
Then something else happens.
Suddenly he is alive again. He snaps back up into position, alert and ready. His eyes flash red, his body now a new form; ridden with thick black spikes, his skin a bluey tinge, his height at least twice as big. His jaw started gnashing angrily wanting blood, our blood. Quicker than lightning they all started sprinting towards me faster than any human. I scream to Alex to run. I don’t know if she listened I have no time to look back. The smallest one erupts into the sky, wings flapping at a steady pace. I try to leg it across the field but as I mentioned I was always terrible at running. I look up to see the smallest Goth hurtling down towards me. He crashes down onto me devastating my back, breaking my legs as I slam onto the floor.
I crawl around the wall expecting the worse suddenly something caught my perfect eye; it’s not a trick of the light. I rise upwards and stare at the other side of the garden. Their panting is a wolf. Not a werewolf, surely not it’s much too small. I stare at the perfect eyes, the perfect purple eyes. I gasp, for the first time since my transformation I have never seen anything so beautiful, the wolf is snow-white no larger than a big dog, but yet still as beautiful as a graceful wolf. The muzzle is longer and different to an average wolf this wolf’s muzzle is sort of mutated and a lot wrinklier; it’s not perfect it doesn’t suit the rest of the stunning body. It’s breath-taking. It can’t be one of these werewolves’ I should hate.
It sits down and pants like a dog the muzzle looks the most frightening part, the wolf gets up and potters towards me, silently, gracefully. I sigh again, I am meant to despise this creature. The wolf sits down next to me and rests its tiny head on my shoulders, there is a deep cut on its head, I gently stoke my stone-cold fingers down it the mark, the wolf yawns in cute high-pitched tone and closes its heavy eyelids I smile to myself, and I stoke its fur slowly, its soft. I suddenly realise werewolf’s aren’t monsters; they don’t eat dead bodies or anything ridiculous, it’s all lies and myths. It’s like vampires, as if garlic would kill us! And I’m guessing a stake in the heart won’t do us any harm either, we are immortal.
This weekend I'll be scanning pictures and uploading diploma work, maybe even a few reviews!
